Dr. Zeena Dorai
 Training and Background Dr. Zeena Dorai is a Board Certified neurosurgeon with advanced training in brain and spinal tumors. Dr. Dorai earned her degree in medicine from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. While in medical school, she was a member of the Alpha-Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Hobart Amory Hare Honor Medical Society. She then completed a general surgery internship and her neurosurgical residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Dorai then completed a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer center, specializing in the surgical treatment of brain and spinal tumors. She has authored articles and chapters in spine reconstruction, brain tumors and neurovascular neurosurgery, including articles in the Journal of Neurosurgery, and Youman's Textbook of Neurosurgery. She has given numerous presentations and served as faculty for practical neurosurgical courses at national neurosurgical meetings. Dr. Dorai is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, including the Tumor section. She continues to lecture locally and nationally on disorders of the brain and spine. Dr. Dorai is the Chief of Neurosurgery at Union Memorial Hospital and Northwest Hospital. She is the surgical director of the Epilespy program at Sinai Hospital and also maintains active clinical privileges at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Carroll Hospital Center and Johns Hopkins. Dr. Dorai's special clinical interests include degenerative spine disease, brain and spinal cord tumors and surgery for epilepsy disorders. She is also trained in CyberKnife radiosurgery.
